The way students are taught and what they are taught serves it political agenda. Two totally opposite functions: as an instrument of conformity: the logic of the present system , practice of freedom: people deal critically with reality and discover how to participate in the transformation of their world . Oppressor ideology and oppressed ideology and negation of freedom : they both have fear of freedom and they confuse freedom with the maintenance of the status quo. Escape from freedom! the oppressed, instead of striving for liberation, tend themselves to become oppressors, or sub-oppressors . Culture of silence: social domination of race and class are interlaced into the conventional education system, through which the culture of silence eliminates the paths of thought that lead to a language of critique . Freedom is acquired by conquest, not by gift . Education, what types of capital? (pierre bordeau economy, social, capital, cultural?)
