Law: its making and organization: how a bill becomes a law, law making theories; why do we have laws, court system in canada. Bill: has to be discussed before it becomes a law. Record of debates: transcripts of debates that go on in relation to the bill that is being presented. Rationalistic: law (criminal law) is made to protect people/ society from injury, harm, ect as well as from committing harm. The lawmakers have the control of society. Customs keeps a border for society, which keeps society functioning. There is a consensus (a perspective) around these customs. Law is reinstatement of customs that is officially made through law makers. Customs= norms or rules about the ways in which people must behave if social institutions are to perform their functions and society is to endure. Conflict perspective: the origin of law emerges from an elite class. Which this elite class uses law to control the rest of society.
