The crisis: mindset at the time that there was an upheaval, world view: liberal / democratic, understands progress of human rights and government"s protection over individuals, decline of communism until now, the crisis was between 1815-1914. Start of the crisis: great powers of europe, war remakes european map. Imperialism, capitalism, and liberalism, and absolute monarchy were all discredited: after wwi, order remains unstable. Wwi: almost all states involved were destroyed by it. 5 of the 7 powers ceased to exist. Long stalemate between the french and the english against the germans. Regime collapse: russia"s monarchy in 1917, was extremely conservative and repressive, but its support was based on its role of. Aftermath of wwi: 5 regimes lost, 1 becomes a liberal monarchy, 1 becomes fascist, and 1 becomes communist, and the other. 2 empires ceased to exist: germany surrendered, treaty of versailles.
