Globalization has three basic dimensions: political, economic, cultural. Present-day globalization is about increased polarizations and. Is globalization something new or has it been around for centuries? intensifications in the scale and scope of political, economic and cultural changes that affect the lives of people. Now it"s about corporations that have legal implications worldwide. Polarization of economic classes, races, etc, categorizing and separating ppl even more which is the opposite of what globalization is supposed to do. Globalization isn"t only about over there" it"s about what we do daily over here" in terms of eating, shopping, labour issues, environment, human rights etc. What happens at the global scale also happens at the local scale; prices of food and etc go up and more and more ppl can"t afford basic necessities. The 4th world at least 50% of world"s population is very poor. Political: free-trade agreements, corporate rights, concentrates economic power (wto, wb, imf) transnational corporate power, rogue states.
