Caregiver is a job that ties the family together: neoconservative view of traditional society. Caregiver is a role that is highly valued and undervalued in terms of something. Separate spheres of the caregiver role is assigned to women as it is seen as natural. The government took over the caregiver role which gave an opening for women to participate in labour. These functions are privatized and women return to the role of the caregiver.
