Conservative classic ideology was the dominant ideology during pre-modernity. Post 17th century, liberal ideology came to the works, counter of the above. 18th century industrial liberalism, classic liberalism was dominant over conservative but socialism emerged to. Liberalism goes through a transformation and becomes contemporary/reformed liberalism. Over a period of a couple centuries there is a debate between classical liberals and the reformed liberals. The debate between the two branches revolves around these 4 facts: personal freedom, limited government, equality of right, consent of the governed. He was executed in the english civil war: moral philosopher thommas hobbes. He is shaken by the execution of the king. In that book he comes up with ideas that contain the seed of classical liberal ideology. Could be argued that he was the first liberal, some say john locke. 1688 english civil war is resolved glorious revolution. Result of the revolution, england becomes a constitutional monarchy.
