It is a coalition of over 148 organizations, advocating family-farm-based sustainable agriculture a(cid:374)d (cid:449)as the group that coi(cid:374)ed the ter(cid:373) (cid:862)food so(cid:448)ereig(cid:374)ty(cid:863). It ca(cid:373)paig(cid:374)s to defe(cid:374)d far(cid:373)er"s seeds, to stop violence against women, for the recognition of the rights of peasants, for agrarian reform, etc. Zapatistas (1994) a left-wing revolutionary political and militant group based in chiapas, the southernmost state of mexico. (ezln) The zapatista army went public on january 1, 1994, the day when the north american free trade. On that day, they issued their first declaration and revolutionary laws from the lacandon jungle. The declaration amounted to a declaration of war on the mexican government, which they considered so out of touch /w the will of the people as to make it illegitimate.
