Document Summary

If we can understand behaviour we can understand people. If we can come up with scientifically proved theories, we can learn to predict and control human behaviour. Our mind is a consequence of behaviour our behaviour comes first and it determines how we are going to feel and how successful we are in life. Classical conditioning pavlov interested in the salivation of dogs. Put meat infront of dogs and measured how much they salivate. Dogs who were conditioned learned that the bell that was rung was associated with the meat. The meat = unconditioned stimulus, which leads to an unconditioned response. When you pair the conditioned stimulus with the unconditioned stimulus, this produces the conditioned response. The conditioned response is the same as the unconditioned response, but its in response to the bell instead of the meat. Extinction as we grow up we stop doing certain behaviours. Positive vs. negative reinforcement (both are a pleasurable desired outcome).
