Respect to the client; the therapist will not pretend to like the client if i don"t. Trust in the client"s inner resources and self-realization; trust in the clients inherent growth tendency and right to self-determination is expressed in practice in the therapists nondirective attitude . Attuned to protecting the autonomy of the client. Therapist takes on the discipline of the therapists development. The therapists goals are limited to the process of therapy not the outcome ; be with the client right there and now.
