His injury brought on capgras delusion could not recognize his mother as his mother . Convinced that his father was an imposter as well. Not only ha delusions about people but the house he lived in was an imitation of his house. He sometimes referred to himself as another david. When you see something a message goes to temporal lobe, you must also respond to something emotionally. Then gets relayed to amygdala (gateway to limbic system) which controls emotion. The message does not go to amygdala because the sensors are cut due to the accident.
