When they are focused on: usually involves teen pregnancy, unwanted pregnancy + drug abuse during pregnancy. Egg + sperm unite while egg is travelling a fallopian tube = fertilized egg. Fertilized egg oats around in uterus for 6 days then implants in thick tissue (becomes period if not fertilized) If implanted = placenta begins to develop (connected to growing embryo > allows oxygen + nutrients to pass from the mother to the embryo + helps transport embryo"s waste back to mother"s system) 65% of pregnant w in developed regions of the world receive prenatal care. Changes in weight gain + stomach that sticks out. Breast tenderness, constant need to pee + tiredness. Nausea ( rst trimester) > 50%-90% of w will experience nausea. Majority of w are less interested in sexual activity during preg. (some report more interest)
