Early research of child testimony indicated that children are highly susceptible and capable of providing inaccurate testimony. Studies on suggestibility of kids between 7 and 14 years. Asserted that suggestibility reflected the operation of two broad classes of factors. Between 1915 and 1970, there was a consistent finding that accuracy improves with age. 1992, sterling family and 5 other men including police officers were charged with 190 counts of physical and sexual abuse against dozens of kids who attended the daycare. There were reports of bizarre satanic sexual abuse and severe injuries in the home daycare. Interviews with children were conducted improperly and it elicited false evidence of abuse. Some of the evidence was presented on tv. The manipulative nature of the interviews was eventually recognized.
