They mapped out the receptive field of a cell in the brain, any time light goes into that receptive field. Action potential happens they"re artificially activating the area. When outside receptive field baseline response: experiments where they use electrodes to look at electrical activity of the brain, have been done in every species including humans. Your fovea is being pointed on the ball to count. If the bear was orange or red, more people would have noticed it. Because cones are specific to certain spectrum of color: form, colour, motion are the most important domains that your attention has to focus on. In the frontal cortex, neurons select the white passes at the expense of everything else. In the eye, we"re going to focus on rods and cones: when aps lave the eye from retina, they are going to be carried to the brain (lateral geniculate nucleus) through the ganglion cells.
