Perform anova to see if these effects are significant. Automatically know there is interaction effect when lines are not parallel, Ceiling effect: when the means for the 2 conditions is near the maximum and it can give the impression that no difference exists between conditions, i. e they"re close to maximum performance. May look at though an independent variable had no effect, but it would of been detected if better results were possible. Floor effect: opposite, when results are so low. For three independent variables---a b c, there will be 7 possible interaction effect sand. Completely between-subject design- both of your independent vairables are between subject variables. so if n=20 needed for one conditoin, n=80 needed for entire study needed for all study. Completely within subject design: all subjects tested under 4 conditions, so n=40.
