Psychodynamic approach is based off of the psychoanalytic theory by. This theory doesn"t believe in all of freud"s beliefs, but take a lot of it into its theory. In freud"s theory instincts are: a) life b) death. We"re governed by unconscious conflict: a type of life instinct is libido" (sexual instinct, while we have life instincts, we also have death instincts (conflict, anger, etc. ) Structure of personality; id, ego, superego: the id contains the instincts (aggressive, sexual, etc. ) and this is the only structure present at birth.
