Document Summary
The more characteristics your group has, the more group-like it is. Two or more individuals who are connected to one another by social relationships. Although different definitions of groups vary, they do have some common characteristics, such as size and connectedness. There also must be an interpersonal connection between the individuals. No two groups are the same, but they often possess similar characteristics. Groups are beneficial, but they can also be flawed; not all group experiences are positive. Categories -> a collection of people that share a common attribute or are related in some way. Aggregate -> a collection of individuals who are present in the same time and place, but who do not form a unit. Collective -> any aggregate of 2 or more people and form a unit, but it is a loose association (lineup, classroom) - collectives have greater opportunities to become a group.
