Stage 2 (nrem2: lasts about 20 minutes, sleep spindles sharp waves that are close together. Rem or dreaming: rapid eye movement, brain waves resemble nrem1, eye-movements, motor activity is eliminated, difficult to awaken the person, breathing is choppy, erections occur, dreams more memorable, crazy, emotional. 5% of total sleep in stage 1. 50% of total sleep in stage 2. 20% of total sleep in stage 3 and 4. 25% of total sleep in rem sleep. Sleep paralysis your body is coming out of rem sleep slower than your mind. Lucid dreaming you are consciously aware of the fact that you are dreaming and you can control your dreams.
