Nature (genetics)-nurture (environment) controversy: family studies: assess the influence of heredity on iq by examining blood relatives and seeing how similar they are on iq scores. Nieces and nephews share 25% of genes. Higher correlation in iq in closer genetically related people: twin studies: identical twins are compared to fraternal twins, adoptive studies. Concept of reaction range is related to this issue.
