Document Summary
When two stimuli (s) occur close together in time. Pavlov believed 2 things about contiguity: for conditioning to occur, us and cs must be contiguous. If any cs and us are paired, conditioning will occur. Challenges to his beliefs: x-rays nausea (7hr delay) solution nausea, thus, this disagrees with pavlov. Generally, it just disagreed with pavlov"s second. Skinner did not discover it, but he did most of the studies: thus he is given credit for it.
