In 1916 there was the first arab revolt against jewish immigrations and the riots continued in 1920. Haganah in 1920 became a military self defense and later played a major role in the establishment of the israel. Hajj al-housein became the mufti of jerusalem and started playing the role of the leader of palestinian. Biggest revolt was in 1936 this was the reaction to the british. In 1937 jewish terrorist organizations were established one was irgun and its military being the ditar. A more radical fraction of irgun, which was called. Shamir who later became the prime minister of israel. Irgun started lots of terrorist"s activities; such as they wore arabs dresses and blew up hotel called king david making people think that arabs did it when it was actually the jews.
