Hume: in circumstances where there is scarcity of resources, and where there is abundance of resources, justice"s presence will vary depending on the situations. If people are benevolent, justice will be necessary because people need to share things we need to share in an equitable way but in order to do that, we need to understand the rules of sharing. What would interfere with thinking about justice? (even before the right rules of sharing) Assumption is that we currently live in a society where justice can prevail. To a certain degree, greed can have some sort of influence on interfering with fairness income/class can be related to greed. Social position in society can have an impact on how justice is shaped; how justice is looked at. When you look at the social contract in law, the rule of etiquette come as you are people some in with their prejudices, and they press for what they see.
