Athens will be formed into a wealthy, cosmopolitan cultural center by the three great legislator and the tyrant. When democracy appears in the stage of political life in athens it will take a form called isonomy. *explain the transition from democracy in athens, talk about isonomy. The assembly confines the citizens to decide on measures to be taken in the polis. Alo(cid:374)g (cid:449)ith the asse(cid:373)(cid:271)l(cid:455) there"s also the (cid:272)ou(cid:374)sel, the(cid:455) had t(cid:449)o tasks: they prepared the sessions of the assembly, they had to implement and execute the decisions made by the assembly. There are 500 members of council, drawn by a lot (randomly). They would sit on council for 1 year. membership could not be renewed immediately and you could not be a member of council more than twice. The members of council were selected by the tributes created by trifany. Each tribe of athens would get 50 members; you would have to be 30+.
