Causal responsibility links causes & effects from our actions. Capacity responsibility attributed to our agency; to understand right and wrong. Liability responsibility (legal and moral forms) demands reparations or damages or payments. Legal liability-responsibility: in law, responsibility can be strict or even absolute, holding everyone, regardless of age or mental capacity, liable to punishment or to pay compensation. To be found guilty of a crime and to owe a punishment for that action. We don"t hold animal and objects liable for punishment. This would rule out the animals no sense to hold them morally liable. This goes for children as well, even though they did cause harm to others, we don"t think they have reached an age of maturity to fully understand the consequences of their actions. Only makes sense to hold someone responsible for a crime if it is possible to have a mature conversation with them, and if they are capable of understanding what is right and wrong.
