Amateur radio hobbyists, did not like idea of govt. control over radio. They were anti govt. or anti authority and played pranks on authorities just to show they could do so. There was a group who tranforms radio in a major way. Instead of using radio as point to point communication, these individuals started the process of broadcasting. 1920 had become golden age of radio or radio move. In 1920 rosenberg"s time we see radio appear. The very first radio station was introduced by westinghouse in 1920s (kdka). Hundreds of radio stations came out later on in north america. Business or major radio industries soon saw this a major opp to make a lot of money at the time. One group that benefitted were actual people making the program themselves. The producers, directors, actors, singers, all associated with early radio programs.
