Theory suggests many technologies come out of scientific discoveries. Techno-science is the first indication of the merging of science and technology in the second industrial age. Major centres: germany and united states who themselves were trying to catch up to british lead in industrialization. England was the economical and political powerhouse in first industrialization, harder to turn attention to something new. The two countries gained influence and economical power by wanting to try new things. Germany"s science and engineering educational reforms in the 2nd industrial age. Germany made many contributions to the second industrial age in the area of science and technical education reform. Engineers were not formally educated and instead became engineers via apprenticeships or practical training.
