Due to increase in population, the overall general public needs more things. More goods are being produced on machines rather than by hand. Revolutionary technology: the electrical telegraph (morse code) a. k. a the. Railways introduced a unique method of transporting goods. Bottleneck: a problem area that needs to be resolved. New method of transportation: canal system used to move your goods. Vegetables were grown and used for preservation techniques. Wood was the most popular energy source at this time. It became increasingly expensive as it was being more used. Used to build things, kept warm,etc: features of the industrial revolution, new energy sources. Wood replaced by non-renewable energy sources like coal and soil. Partly due to scarcity of lad and wood. Steam engines were used in the first railroads.
