NATS 1700 Lecture 10: Lecture 10
Document Summary
Computers, information and society - cause and effect. Nothing is free if you are not the consumer. Actual result if there is a cause or action in technology, there"s an effect. Cause is the creation of the cellular technology; the effect is that you have become dependent on it. Nothing you get from technology is free, it always comes with a consequence. Technology is becoming so complex, the people who produce or create them don"t want people near technology because it is becoming dangerous. Although a computer may compute, calculate, etc. , a lot faster than a human being does, it does not have human thoughts. Two populations: genetic populations, a. k. a. gene pool - each pop is a pool, contains all the genetic information. To every action there is an equal effect to it. New technology created situations which we can consider the cause, and in contrast, there are effects. The end result is always the same.
