Document Summary

Human body is a collection of atoms (whether it be eyes, skin, etc. ) that are held together by chemical bonds. Bodies are highly organized: o o o o. Some atoms reflect each other while other reflex and will never have any bond. If a third atom comes in to combine the first two, it binds in a very specific shape called moluecule (special, particular and precise shape that will never change) Atoms create molecule (i. e. h2o, 3 atoms - 1 molecule) During embryonic development these are used to form body structures. After birth, these are used to add new molecules to body structures during growth and as previously existing molecules are lost used up or destroyed. To maintain molecular structures (keeps chemical bonds from breaking apart) Energy flows through an ecosystem (in one direction) Organisms obtain energy by extracting it form the environment. Consumers: get nutrients made by other organisms (eat everything)
