We have the idea that the internet is a place of anonymity. Tech that can cross boundaries and borders. Now it is very hard to remain anonymous. Many thought that crimes done online were harmless and can be easily fixed. Because of awareness for these crimes such as theft, bullying etc. they were considered as crimes since many incidents had happened (suicide, etc. ) Cybercrime: a criminal offence involving a computer as the object of attack; tool used to commit a material component of the offence. Regular crimes, such as fraud, are amplified and multiplied . These new crimes were not created, but were enhanced. Amplify our ability to do these crimes. It does not matter if you commit crimes in real-life or cyberspace. Defamation: someone that has done something that has harmed their reputation. When their reputation has been injured in some way. Cybershaming: shame an individual for something that someone said or did.
