Document Summary
Law of laplace: p=2t/r the pressure in any container is equal to 2t, which is surface tension, over r (radius) Airway resistance is normally low: the higher the resistance, the lower the ow, air way resistance depends on 3 things tube length interactions between gas molecules, airway radius (regulated) (most important). This changes on a breath to breath basis. Diseases of the cardiovascular system are disease of the airway (obstructive or restrictive) Obstructive diseases (unable to take a regular breath because airway is blocked: asthma: smooth muscle contraction causing constriction of the airway because of a hyper responsive reaction. For the exercise, the asthma is usually onset after the exercise: the orange pu er has anti-in ammatory drugs, and its made to treat chronic in ammation, not the sudden attack. It has glucocorticoids in it, and leukotriene inhibitors. The blue pu er is for when you go into an attack.
