KINE 1020 Lecture Notes - Lecture 26: Electromyography
Document Summary
Lecture 26, fitness assessments in sport, march 27th. You"re there to test, explain the results, and deliver them: you need to explain why tness testing is important, why it"s worth their money, and what they get out of it. The test that you make should represent the sport and the athlete that is being tested. You need to also motivate the athlete during their training so that they can perform better. Its assessing how they execute certain tasks so that you can show them how to improve: time motion analysis release on measuring the body through space using markers, to see how the person moves. This is done to measure forces at the joints. Electromyography analysis (emg: looks at how much force the body is putting out. Descriptive match data: just a statistical approach of looking at the athlete. Is the test standardized: proper interpreting of the results that are gathered.
