Kine 1000 sport and development march 15th, 2017. Definition a movement that advocates for the use of sport to attain specific development objectives for disadvantaged groups across the globe: development refers to economic development, eliminate poverty, reduce gender inequality etc, ex. Right to play: used to development individuals for the purpose of hopefully improving society. Structured movement where other countries have set aside a money that they give to this movement. Do not overstate the commonalities between different sdp projects: different, purposes, methods, activities, levels of interventions, there are so many different programs and different levels of intervention. Is it in rural areas or suburban areas: so different that it makes it difficult as to why something worked in one context while the other did not work in that context. Sport by itself does not lead to development: there is no guarantee that the claims put forth by sdp projects are actually (going to be ) achieved.
