Peace means an end to all hostilities and to attach the adjective perpetual to it is already suspiciously close to pleonasm. According to author kant, state are not inherited, or a possession that can be taken and given at any time. Peace can be obtained when there is an end to all reasons for war, as peace means an and to all hostilities. He believes that we must work towards building peace and that to without enforce it. On page 94; in order to maintain peace kant, propose five actions to be taken; first action is no independently existing state may be acquired by another state by inheritance, exchange, purchase or gifts . The people should have the right to determine their own rule and faith, if another state were to interfere it will turn in into commodity rather than a homeland. Second action is standing armies will gradually be abolished altogether .
