As you make notes for yourself make sure you have at least one example of what each condition of acceptability means. Then practice determining acceptability conditions with the statements below. If they were premises in an argument, explain why you would accept them by referring to the notes you made on the different ways that premises can be acceptable. Solutions are at the end of this document: this outcome of conducting acceptability of premises isn"t well explained in the 5th edition of grm! We accept a premise provisionally in very few circumstances. Provided that the premise isn"t unacceptable or questionable already, we would deem it provisionally acceptable if we aren"t certain of its accuracy, and we could easily verify it.
