The odyssey begins whereas everyone has gone home, but odysseus is still out there. Odysseus"s tielos = goal to go from here to home. He is stranded on an island a nymph named kalypso holds him there in her cave. Kalypso greek verb to hide, conceal. Kalypso powerful female goddess, takes advantage of odysseus. Aigisthos (cousin of aga. ) and agamemnon"s wife, klymenestra, kill agamemnon on his homecoming. Son disguises himself to kill his fathers" murderers and becomes an outcast. Telemachus odysseus" son goes on a journey to be powerful at ithaka. Penelope (wife of ody. ) has suitors; they show up everyday hoping she"ll chose one of them.
