They have different definitions, but must somehow work together to come up with a conclusion. The legal definition and the medical definitions of insanity are related and cannot be separated. There is an ongoing relationship (dependency) between the two. Expert witnesses are held accountable for modern definitions, but are still contradicted by old rules and regulations. Andrea yates drowned her 5 children- claimed insanity because she was suffering from post-partum depression. Acquitted for mistrial, but there was definite proof that she did not want to be in her family anymore and did not want to be a mother anymore. But medical experts were paid to defend her and claim insanity. It is up to representation and manipulation to interpret and reinterpret the law. Moral panic that is directed towards deviant people as suspects (the other ) The striking workers take the police"s attention away from the killers. The strike threatens the control of the white men with power.
