Great for nose symptoms, good for eye symptoms. A/e local effects: nose bleeds, dry nose (any intranasal product can cause that) Systemic effects: older ones like beclamethasone can cause growth stunting in kids (cause they"re systemically absorbed a bit- usually only for the older ones) People are afraid to use them cause they"re steroids- but don"t have same side effect profiles cause they"re not systemically absorbed! Once effect wears out after 2-3 hours, they red really red eyes again (don"t use for more than 3-5 days) All the eye drops not recommended for patients who don"t have eye symptoms. Patients may not even need them long term. Suggest to put drops in the fridge, cooling effect helps for itchy eyes. Would use if they have asthma concurrent with allergic rhintis, can control both disease at the same time. Ipratropium- only good for runny nose, not used often at all. Experiencing daytime drowsiness secondary to 1st generation antihistamine.
