When sea ice melts it fills in the space the ice took up under water anyways as continental ice sheets melts, it displaces water (because mostly on ground to begin with), causes sea level rise. Melting ice leads to sea level rise (if continenctal ice sheets, not for sea ice0. If ice, energy from sun reflects off the ice and goes into atmosphere.
