History and geography of society is the history and geography of struggles against injustice and especially class struggles (over/covert) Class struggles coexist with struggles over gender, race, sexuality, environment. This happens in the culture sphere it happens on the street for example in tunisia, india etc. Strikes they fight for the rights over gender and race issues. The economic, political and cultural processes interact within a whole in which the economic sphere is ultimately dominant. And this is partly because of the utter significance of means of existence (eat before) Also: the exact ways in which the economic sphere, the political sphere and cultural sphere interact vary from one place to another. The efficiency with which we produce means of existence (labour productivity) and social relations, change over time -> modes of production. Historically, modes of production at lower level of productivity are replaced by modes at a higher level.
