We talked about the 4 steps (different ways of talking about the distance between natural origin and the distance between it) She mentioned the tea (and how she doesn"t know where it is produced and it is not accidental) Through the processes we know less (process of codification produces distances and displacement) It changes the interaction between nature and this is everywhere in everyday life and everything is available to us. Distances of all kind (cognitive) we don"t see what we are looking at. There is a barcode on anything (take an object and make it inventory) We can only talk about something as a commodity someone has to own it. We can buy something if buyer and seller can agree in the value. There is exploitation because sometimes the people in power buy more stuff and they set the terms for the price. There is really no negotiations that is fair they are shaped by the power relations.
