Other ethnicities are shunned and or not encouraged to move, but still do e. g. Dramatic irony: character"s ignorance of a situation that readers are aware of. Sandor"s father beats him for being too canadian, not tough hungarian. Sandor"s father does not understand his new lifestyle in which he wants to copy. He beats sandor and refuses to see things his way. Sandor feels he does not try to assimilate which makes his situation worse. Mr. nagy is the ideal adult in sandor"s eyes living the canadian dream. Mr. nagy allows sandor to work for him and learn his trade. Sandor sees mr. nagy as valuable because he assimilates to canadian culture.
