World"s population has been increasing from the start of human history. But the increase in human number in the latter half of the 20th century is unbelievable. According to different studies world population has doubled bringing it around 5. 3 billion. It has also been predicted that the world population is likely to reach 9. 2 billion in year 2050. Ironically ,majority of these people live in the developing countries. Urbanization, higher birth rate, better health facilities, religion, early marriage, poverty, and lack of education are among those factors that have contributed in the rapid increase in world population. (todaro and smith, 2012). The country i am doing my research on is tajikistan a low income country that has been part of the soviet union and is urbanizing.
