The inluence of changes in communicaion in the early 1800s afected the aboriginal people in. Aboriginal people relied on few important icons which include: symbols and rituals such as the inukshuit, a resemblance of communicaion in an aboriginal perspecive. Their concepion of land its relaionship with humans was based on the concept of communal ownership of the land and its collecive use by organisms by a creator. There are muliple characterisics of the aboriginals: they are autonomous, muli-faceted and they are all in one pracical, economic, social, spiritual and divine that is not easily broken down. In their language, government , means grandmother , which implicates the idea that aboriginal socieies view their grandmothers with wisdom and matriarchy. By the end of the 18th century, the briish consolidated their hold on the areas that make up. In march 1752, the irst newspaper, halifax gazete , was issued.
