The effect of air pollutants on children"s pulmonary tract in canada. In the 21st-century climate change is one of the major concerns the world is currently facing. Children are more vulnerable to air particle pollution because of their relative body weight to the rest of the population. They are also more at risk for airway infections because of the undeveloped immune system. Children are the primary victims that are suffering from ambient air pollution. Furthermore, this newspaper article critically emphasized is the correlation between climate change and air pollution. This article has reported that there has been an increase in temperature and co2 levels over the past decade. Through chronic exposure to fine particulate matter, the children are constantly suffering in poor air quality, which would lead to respiratory diseases (smith 2000). The study has shown that ozone layer is getting worse and worse every year, especially in countries that are less developed than canada.
