Looking at the way people live their lives; not just how they say they live: gathered through direct experience of people"s everyday lives, through interviews, mapping etc. ~ different people will entice different reactions and responses: more importantly, anthro focuses on = how has your identity shaped what people tell you/power you have/ impact you have. Smt that is connected to social values/social life: 10 things that are important to you are imbedded in you based on culture and through your families. ~ things that you value or rebel against. Family and culture are overlapping (not independent: relationships with your parents or siblings are based on factors bigger than you.
