New section 1 page 1: definition of health. Health is a state of complete physical, social and mental wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease. The enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is one of the fundamental human rights of every human being without distinction of race, religion, political beliefs, economic or social condition (who, 1946). This is what we should be striving for and we know that this is not the case as it does not apply for everyone: medical anthropology. Anther idea is that medical anthropology is an applied anthropology.
