How and why do worldviews change: review. How we can learn about them from symbols. Myths zombies- conveying american worldview- consumerism/ fear of infection. The organization of our social, economic and political lives influences what we believe and vice versa. Nature according to north americans/ how do we talk about our relationship to nature: we control the land as we own it- do what we want to do with it. Even land that"s not owned has idea of ownership to it- government. Control of the land- destroy, alter, and change the land- take actions on the land. Separation of land vs. living spaces/city we separate ourselves from nature/natural world. When we refer to nature- it"s something we want to take, control, manage etc. Framed from metaphors of ownership, control, etc. in terms of our economic worldview. Relationship of power- recognize any world view we work with, in some way deals with power.
