Organizing (how those goals will be achieved based on the resource availability) Identification of functions or tasks that help achieve the goals: the optimal arrangement of resources to achieve functional effectiveness. Introduce sales force to product; transferring product knowledge and method of selling it to their customers. Provide incentives to sales force to motivate them to sell the new product: group the resources optimally to obtain synergistic interactions. Use of temp. sales team is most efficient and effective use of resources. Allocate incentive resources: establish goals, responsibilities, procedures and rules form job descriptions. When those are accomplished, the structuring aspect of the organizing function is complete. Functions of organizing: divide the work into various tasks or functions, group the resources to encourage synergistic interaction (optimal resource to fulfill the tasks + disregard the ones which is not useful, for job descriptions (job procedure, rules)
