Document Summary

I found rosenthal"s article to be less persuasive than magretta"s article. Rosenthal main focus was that the plantains kept account books and measure depreciation through evidence. In certain ways this article is a bit persuasive when an interviewer states that there is an uncertain link between slavery and industrial revolution indicating that there is a negative evidence and a cause. With this statement it shows that the author understands what he is talking about and raises questions about what is not clear for him. I believe that he feels like is job is to be honest which makes the reader want to read his article because it makes them want to trust the author more. But it is less persuasive than magretta"s article when looking at the aspect of the article. Throughout the article the interviewer had a tone where if you did not share the same belief as him he would be more critical towards you.
