Declining unions (in canada in the last 4 years it went from 30% unionized to 20%) Globalization- companies need to be competitive, need to be costly efficient. The role of bargaining power in the employment relationship. Forces of supply and demand ensure of employment levels. Labour markets are competitive so we don"t need government intervention. People act on their own to get what they want. Management will treat workers well to increase productivity. Active government to promote decent working conditions.
